What is foil stamping?
Foil stamping presses a heated metal die through a film of real metallic foil onto the card, bonding metal to paper. Unlike printed metallic inks, the result is actual reflective metal — it catches light, holds a debossed impression you can feel, and never fades.
The cross-section, one frame at a time
Card waiting
Ultra-thick stock sits under the press, foil film suspended above.
Heated die drops
A custom-etched die stamps down at ~110°C with two tons of pressure.
Metal bonds
The foil's release layer gives way; metal fuses only where the die touched.
Debossed shimmer
The die leaves a tactile impression filled edge-to-edge with real metal.

Should you order foil at all?
Three questions. Honest verdict.
Tool 02 What makes premium look premium.
Restraint. The best foil cards stamp 10–20% of the surface — a logo, a name, one rule line. Full-coverage foil reads as novelty; a single struck element reads as intent.
