01

Who This Applies To

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to everyone who uses Inkgility — customers placing orders, partners running storefronts on our infrastructure, developers calling our API, and visitors interacting with our community features. By using the service you agree to follow this policy.

The AUP supplements our Terms of Service. Where the two conflict, the more restrictive provision applies. Violating this policy can lead to content removal, account suspension, partner-program termination, or — in severe cases — referral to law enforcement.

02

Prohibited Content

You may not upload, order, print, host, distribute, or otherwise use the service to create:

  • Illegal content: anything that violates US federal law, the law of your jurisdiction, or the laws of the jurisdictions where the content will be distributed.
  • Infringing content: material that infringes copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, right of publicity, or other intellectual property rights you do not have permission to use.
  • Hate speech & harassment: content that promotes, incites, or threatens violence against individuals or groups on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or other protected characteristic.
  • Adult / sexually explicit content: pornographic material, sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance — reported to NCMEC immediately), or non-consensual intimate imagery.
  • Weapons: imagery designed to facilitate illegal manufacture, sale, or use of firearms, explosives, or other weapons, including 3D-printable firearm files.
  • Counterfeit credentials: fake IDs, currency, government documents, academic credentials, or items designed to enable identity theft or fraud.
  • Drugs & regulated substances: content marketing illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia in jurisdictions where it is illegal, or unapproved pharmaceuticals.
  • Malware & deceptive technical content: phishing pages, malware distribution, scam landing pages, deceptive advertising, or content designed to mislead users.
  • Content targeting minors deceptively: material that mimics children's brands or content with intent to mislead.

Zero tolerance: Child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement immediately and permanently bans the account.

Content Guidelines for Partner Storefronts

Partners (resellers, white-label, affiliate, corporate) operating storefronts on Inkgility infrastructure must additionally:

  • Maintain accurate business information (legal name, contact, tax registration as applicable).
  • Display clear pricing, accurate product descriptions, and lawful claims.
  • Honor refunds, returns, and quality guarantees consistent with Inkgility's policies.
  • Respond to customer inquiries within published SLAs; unresponsive storefronts may be paused.
  • Not pass off Inkgility's services as exclusively their own work in a misleading way.
  • Not engage in price gouging or predatory pricing practices.
  • Not target Inkgility customers with competing offers using data obtained through our platform.

04

Inkgility Brand Mark Usage Rules

The Inkgility name, logo, wordmark, and visual identity are our trademarks. Permitted uses:

  • Customers may identify Inkgility as their vendor in invoices, factual statements, and credit lines.
  • Partners may use Inkgility's "Powered by" lockup as provided in the partner kit, in accordance with our Brand Guidelines.
  • Press and journalists may use unmodified Inkgility logos in articles and broadcasts about us. Logo files are available at press.html.

You may not:

  • Modify, distort, rotate, or restyle the Inkgility logo.
  • Combine the Inkgility logo with another mark in a way that implies endorsement or partnership where none exists.
  • Register a domain, business name, or social media handle that incorporates "Inkgility" or confusingly similar terms.
  • Use the brand in a way that disparages Inkgility, our customers, or our partners.

05

Account Behavior Standards

Users of inkgility.com and connected services agree to:

  • Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person without our written consent.
  • Not impersonate another person or business.
  • Not abuse review, ratings, or community features (no fake reviews, vote manipulation, or astroturfing).
  • Treat our staff with respect. Abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior toward Inkgility team members is grounds for immediate account closure.
  • Not attempt to probe, scan, or test the security of the service without our written permission.

06

API Usage Rules

Developers using the Inkgility API must:

  • Honor published rate limits (default: 60 requests/minute, 10,000/day on the free tier; higher limits available on paid plans).
  • Cache responses where appropriate; do not poll for changes that could be subscribed to via webhooks.
  • Not scrape product, pricing, or content data outside the documented API endpoints.
  • Identify themselves with a User-Agent header that includes contact information.
  • Use API keys only in server-side environments unless an endpoint is explicitly documented as public-safe.
  • Stop accessing endpoints we have deprecated by the published sunset date.

Suspicious patterns (credential stuffing, mass enumeration, attempted SQL/command injection) result in immediate IP block and API key revocation.

07

Enforcement Process

We use a graduated enforcement approach for most violations:

  1. Warning — first non-severe violation results in a written notice with the chance to cure.
  2. Content removal — offending content is removed; the order is canceled with refund (if pre-production).
  3. Temporary suspension — repeat violations within 12 months suspend the account for 30 days.
  4. Permanent termination — repeated suspensions, or any severe violation, result in permanent account closure.
  5. Legal referral — illegal content is reported to appropriate authorities.

You may appeal any enforcement action within 14 days by emailing trust@inkgility.com with the case number and your explanation. Appeals are reviewed by a Trust & Safety lead who was not involved in the original action.

08

Reporting a Violation

If you believe content or activity on Inkgility violates this policy, please report it:

  • Email: trust@inkgility.com
  • Form: report-abuse.html (in-app reporting on every storefront)
  • For copyright infringement: use the DMCA Policy process.
  • For urgent safety issues (threats, CSAM): mark the email subject with "URGENT" and include all relevant URLs or order numbers.

Acknowledgment: within 1 business day. Investigation: typically 3–5 business days. Reports made in good faith are confidential to the extent permitted by law.
